Our Mission
We want to create a community brings together young citizens who share a passion for learning, discussing, and shaping the public policies that define our shared future. We believe lasting progress begins with respectful dialogue, responsible action, and a deep trust in democratic principles.
Every student, every voice, and every idea matters in shaping the communities we live in. That’s why our mission is to unite young people to discuss about important issues we care about, advocate for meaningful policy change, and make sure our voices are heard by those in power.
We don’t wait to grow up to make a difference, we act now. Together, we learn, lead, and lift one another to make lasting impact.

A Note from the Founder
Hello, I am Aurora (a.k.a. Gigi). In the summer of 2025, while waiting in a hospital hallway, I noticed a donation box collecting pads and tampons. Next to it was a poster that read, “1 in 3 women can’t afford period products.” At that moment, I felt shocked and upset. I couldn’t believe such a basic need was still out of reach for so many women.
After I got home, I did some research and learned that this is an ongoing issue — 1 in 4 teens have missed class because they lack period products, and 18 states still tax these essential items. I decided to do something and attempt to make some change, so I started a petition and began collecting signatures at my high school.
Through this experience, I met many other students who shared the same passion for making a difference. That’s how WeTheYouthCare began. I welcome you to join us as we raise our voices and make a change to our shared future.
