Empowering Youth Voices

WeTheYouthCare Council (The Youth Council) is a student-led organization of young citizens who believe that change begins with understanding and action. Our common dedication to civic participation brings us together through public issue research and open discussion which leads to meaningful advocacy activities.

The Youth Council unites young people from different backgrounds to work together and make sure youth voices are part of the decisions that shape our future. Through meetings, debates, and petitions, we work to connect youth with the democratic process and prove that civic participation is for everyone, not just adults.

We are learners, leaders, and changemakers.

Founder and President

Aurora is a young science researcher and high school sophomore. She is passionate about public policies that address public health, affordability, and education. She is also the founder of NeuroInclusionMatters.org, which advocates for people with IDDs. Additionally, she is a board member of Red Cross North NJ Youth Corp.

VP, DMV Area

Keira is a high school sophomore with talents for both the arts and technology. A gifted violinist, she brings creativity and focus to everything she does. She cares about education, health, and economics.

VP, Technology and Communication

Landon is a high school sophomore focused on computer science and the public policy implications of artificial intelligence and ethics. He cultivates discipline and focus through both musical performance as a cellist and competitive cross-country running.
